How does the unit work?

The CartMover uses a vertical actuation to pinch the drive system between the cart and the floor, creating traction to push or pull your load.

Why does the unit tip forward when I start a pull or stop a push?

The momentum of the load is often much heavier than the CartMover, as such there are support wheels that bolt to the front of the unit. These support wheels will maintain the the positive connection created by the connection tooling and vertical actuation.

I have connected off the top of the unit, but am having a hard time turning, what gives?

You are fighting the friction of the straight wheel, Appleton offers a multi-directional wheel to minimize that friction.

Why does the Drive Wheel just spin when connected?

The drive wheel is likely high centered, either the front nose bars are set too low, or the post is not set high enough to transfer down force and make traction.

Do I need to buy a charger for each unit?

No. Generally speaking one charger is enough to power 3-4 units, however your material flow will determine the best placement and number of chargers needed.
